Does Tim's Chili Oil need to be refrigerated?
No - Tim's Chili Oil has been tested for safety by the University of Arizona's Food Product and Safety Lab and is safe to store at room temperature. If you'd like, refrigerating can help extend its shelf life, but it's not required. Because we use natural preservatives, shelf life is 3-6 months.
Is there MSG?
Many popular store brands use flavor enhancers such as MSG. There is NO MSG in Tim's Chili Oil. Our unique blend of high quality ingredients allows us to showcase natural flavors without artificial ingredients.
What types of oil are used?
Our primary oil is peanut. Peanut oil is often used as a base in chili oil due to its high smoke point and mild flavor, making it ideal for infusing with spices and chili peppers. It adds a rich, nutty taste that complements the heat of the chili, enhancing the overall flavor of the condiment.

Soybean oil is our alternative for customers who have peanut allergies. We are not offering soybean oil at this time but it will be part of our product line in the near future. Please contact us, we can make exceptions.
